Text

‘Behind the milky looking glass’ is a narrative without a story, a fiction clouded by reality, which can no longer be carefree and where everything is covered by a milky veil.

It is a haunted wonderland that was already not only fantastic in Alice's work, but also had strange and unpleasant elements.

Painting and literature, which both look at the world and extract elements from it, also have the possibility of changing the world through fiction. In fiction, we can sometimes breathe more easily. Because it expands the world and can also contain an unrealistic element of hope.

We can recognise something in the mirror here, even though it is milky and blind.
